Kaplan SAT intensive courses give you access to dynamic classroom instruction by our SAT expert teacher. The courses offer complete preparation for the SAT over a period of 2 weekends.

Kaplan's Test Prep Curriculum

Our classroom programs provide personalized instruction, promoting effective learning to help students score higher. Each lesson targets a specific section of the test (Math or Verbal) and includes:

Direct Instruction: The teacher will present methodological recommendations, introduce and review relevant vocabulary and use Kaplan's methods and strategies to solve test-like problems.

Guided Group Work: The teacher will group students according to their strengths and weaknesses and assign them specific exercises, to promote collaborative practice.

Independent Practice: This is designed to help the students improve their understanding of the strategies and methods taught and practiced during the group work.

Online Study Resources

In addition to the classroom lessons, Kaplan students also benefit from access to our state-of-the art patented online resources:

A personalized syllabus tailored to your strengths and weaknesses
Recorded videos of lessons to review the strategies learned in class

SAT Courses at the Antwerp International School is accessible to all students! AIS and non-AIS students should register directly with the school by contacting Dr Rick Cameron at rcameron@ais-antwerp.be.

Kaplan's SAT Intensive courses provide complete preparation for tests. You will learn exclusive strategies and methods focused on the highest-yield areas of the exam. Expert, Anglophone teachers will guide you through the test content and strategy needed to score your highest on the SAT.

About the Tests

The SAT is accepted by nearly every US college/university. Taken usually by those in their junior or senior year of American high school, the SAT test measures critical thinking and assesses how well you analyze and solve problems. The test lasts 3 hours and 45 minutes and consists of Critical Reading, Math, and Writing.

The ACT lasts 2 hours and 55 minutes (excluding the optional Writing Test) or 3 hours and 25 minutes (including the optional Writing Test). First introduced in 1959, the ACT is now as widely accepted by US universities as the more well-known SAT.
